The California Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Consultation (IECMHC) Network is expanding services for family child care providers and family, friend and neighbor caregivers.
Starting in 2022, the IECMHC Network will offer:
- Informational webinars designed to support the work of caring for young children in home-based settings.
- Monthly reflective practice groups for small groups of family child care providers and family, friend and neighbor caregivers. These sessions are designed to foster discussion of the barriers and challenges in working with young children and their families, share resources and offer opportunities for peer-to-peer learning and engagement between caregivers sharing similar experiences.
- Monthly virtual “open-door” sessions facilitated by staff and consultants from the IECMHC Network. Providers and caregivers are encouraged to access this “on demand” virtual consultation to seek support and resources about infant, toddler and young children’s social, emotional and behavioral health and connect with other family child care and family, friend & neighbor providers.
