Negative Feelings/Thoughts

What if you have negative feelings/thoughts about a teacher or about staff-child interactions?

Pay attention to your first impressions or thoughts. It’s important to remember that your opinions going in can have a big impact on your interactions and the relationship that you will develop with this person. This is an opportunity for self reflection, a reflective conversation with the teacher, and a reflective discussion with a CIBC staff member.

  1. I agreed. I think the more aware we are of our triggers the more effective we can be with our internal dialogue not allowing our ego to take over but rather having a self-talk that uses higher thinking skills to guide our actions.
